Primary- January Theme

I've decided to branch out a bit and do something for Primary. I've made the monthly themes on a 4x6 and an 8x10 handout. They will all come from the same kit so will match. Enjoy!! Click here for the Rights and Use Information from the church for the picture.

Christmas Neighbor Ideas

As I was browsing some blogs today I found the cutest ideas for neighbor gifts for Christmas. I did some handouts last year to go along with some treats for neighbors (click here to see my other Neighbor handouts), but I fell in love with these ideas from How Does She? Here are some handouts to go along with her ideas for neighbor gift ideas. Click on the picture to go to How Does She? and click on the handout to download a 4x6.

This is my all time favorite. This is what I am doing for my neighbors this year. Sorry if you are my neighbor and I just ruined it for you! Stick this to brownie mix or muffin mix or any mix in a box. (I love box mixes.)

This is another cute idea. Just attach to a bucket of ice cream and tie some plastic spoons on.

Manual 2 Lesson 49- Disabilities

I know that I am posting early this week, but I am officially finished with Manual 2! Yeah. I know many of you won't get to this lesson, but here it is. I used a quote from Elder Wirthlin from a talk he gave in the April 2008 conference entitled Concern for the One. This talk was suggested in the Resource guide. It's a wonderful talk!

Manual 2 Lesson 48-Communication

I'm sorry if it seems as if I've been MIA lately! I'm suffering from morning sickness really bad and I haven't felt like doing much beside laying on my couch all day! Luckily, I have a fantastic husband who helps out around the house. I am so grateful for him! Here is the next lesson. I think there is only one more and then onto Manual 3!

The Living Christ

I am so excited about this project! Janna emailed me and wanted to know if I could put together some handouts to help memorize The Living Christ. I remember reading this in the Ensign, but I couldn't find where. This would also make a great Value Project for your Young Women.

There are 15 cards with a picture and segment of The Living Christ. All of the cards are numbered in order so you don't get mixed up. The cards are done in a 4x6 picture. This size is great to hang on your mirror or put into a little album. All of the pictures came from the church's website. Here is the Rights and Use Information if you need to print out the pictures. Click on the preview to go to the download folder. You'll have to click on the next button to download each handout. Enjoy!

Manual 2 Lesson 45- Cultural Arts

I didn't know what exactly to do for this lesson. It mentions displaying the 13th Article of Faith. I did a handout for the 13th Article of Faith already for another lesson. So, I decided to turn to For the Strength of Youth and I took something from the 'Entertainment & Media' section. This also matches the other handout I did from For the Strength of Youth.

Value Ribbon Certificates-Faith

I had a request for a wonderful idea. Dana wrote to me and said, "The bishop of our ward would like to present the value ribbons in sacrament meeting because they are an award. There is currently no certificate associated with them for presentation." She asked if I could come up with some sort of certificate for each value ribbon and a way to attach each ribbon. Here is what I came up with.

Each certificate is a 5x7. I made two different versions. The first is a certificate that you can print and write in the name and date for each girl. The second is just a generic that you can have printed off. Each certificate has the picture associated with it from the Personal Progress book. You can find the church's Rights and Use information for the pictures by clicking on the link. Click on each picture to download a 5x7. Read below for information on how to attach the ribbon.

The next hurdle I had to overcome was thinking about how to attach each ribbon. With Dana's help, I came up with 3 different ways.
1. Make 2 slits on the left side of the certificate about 2 inches apart. Fold the ribbon in fourths. Thread through as follows: (sorry about the pictures, I just cut a piece of paper to show how to do it)

2. Use a cute paper clip (mine isn't cute) to attach the ribbon. The ribbon is folded in fourths.

3. Punch a hole in the top corner. Fold the ribbon in half and thread the folded part through the hole. Draw the ends of the ribbon up through the hole and secure. This one makes the ribbon hang longer.

Manual 2/42-Gratitude and Appreciation

I made 2 different handouts for this lesson. The first is an 8x10 that has 5 bookmarks on it (the lesson suggests preparing bookmarks for the girls). The bookmarks are 2 inches x 10 inches. The second one is just the saying "Happiness is a grateful heart" that can be printed in a 4x6 or 8x10.

Halloween handouts

Only 19 more days until Halloween. I have to admit that this year I have done more for Halloween than ever before. It's not my favorite holiday, but why let that stop me! I decided to make Halloween handouts to attach to treats for neighbors, or friends, or members of your classes. Here are two to start with. Click on the picture to download (a 4x6).

Download the 8x10 here.

I also fixed it on the original post!

Manual 2 Lesson 47- Uplifting Environment

Here is another early request. As I looked through the lesson, the one thing that stood out to me was the 13th Article of Faith. That was just announced as the 2011 Mutual theme! What a great way to introduce the theme!! Anyway, I decided that I wanted to do the articles of faith, so look for them sometime in the future!
